Few days before the event, while scrolling down in Insider.in, I get to know Martin is visiting India again. It is decided long back that he is doing another Indian tour. But I know it late because every time while login to the insider.in, I scroll it down and missed the banner at the top. It happens right all the time, going to shop without purse, going to office without ID card, forget to lock the door and think you do, we skip sometimes like we see but didn’t observe as Sherlock saying. while coming back to my situation, I came to know he is signed power arena tour in India. It is two days India tour includes Mumbai and Delhi. But Delhi I can’t believe my eyes when I saw it first. Yes, it is Delhi and Date is on December 2nd. That too it is at ‘Unitech golf and country club’, which is a few yards away from my office.
You can say I’m quite excited about his visit may be the reason is like, he didn’t do a concert in Delhi before or it is like they (Martin and other DJ’s and singers) always go to Mumbai and goa where sunburn festival usually happens. so it is two days before the event where I get to know that too late night as a ghost with a light on my face, I’m browsing more about Martin Garrix. I get to know he just completed the tour in Dubai and coming for India tour. He is 3 years consecutive #1 DJ in the world by DJ mags. Made a free concert in Mumbai for some charity. But I know him as a guy wh0 given a song that I listen 100’s of times at my break up. ‘There for you’ is that song and I wanna listen to it again while he performs it on live. Waited until morning to confirm the tickets.
Next day is 30th Nov Friday, the day in a week where we really happy. Come on, come on, turn the radio on It’s Friday night and I won’t be long !!! (for the Starter’s it is the song ‘Cheap thrills’ by Sia). we generally hum it for an entire week to reach this day, of course, we kill the sat and sun time with Netflix. I do the same even. But not this time it is Martin coming for Delhiites. I gonna skip ‘Ralph Breaks the internet’ where Zero OST by Imagine dragons and ‘Robo 2.0’ by Shankar with south Indian superstar Rajinikanth, music by Oscar winner A.R.Rahman. I can’t say these are big hits but they have visual effects anyone can’t skip them generally. My budget for both the movies equal to Martin Garrix concert ticket price. I decided to sacrifice the movies for the concert but get to know no tickets both Paytm and Insider.in showing no availability. then how?
Maybe downtime I guess. The tickets have shown up later and bring a smile on my face. I didn’t ask any of my fellas to join me. It is something like Spend 1000 bucks for the DJ you didn’t know. we didn’t know him until we know he has given that song we listen multiple times. He is the DJ where his music shows off than him. I don’t wanna convince anyone to join me coz really we influenced by someone easily then we influence someone. So decided to go alone and I did. They opened the gates after 30 mins that there are supposed to. In meanwhile there formed a long human chain with curves just as a snake or a floating river or waist of a blonde woman. They started early at 4’o clock line up with Shaan(Indian DJ), Dyro, Blinders and Justin Mylo. yeah, they did a good job. But waiting for #1 DJ in cold foggy night.
It has been 5 mins that Justin Mylo left the stage. we hear war theme like we were playing call of duty but the stage is black. All of us turned on the cameras to capture Martin entry. Our mobiles exchanged both hands, shoulders getting ache. After 10-15 mins, there he is in sparkles of crackers glittering like a sparkle sounded like a cracker. He started the show, all I remember is dancing and my favourite tunes going on a perfect order. Listening to Hyph of ‘Animals’, ‘Burn out’ are slowed down with ‘Dreamer’ and my favourite song- ‘There for you’, again ended with high pitch song ‘High on life’. The ending is like I literally stood on Tomorrowland. Two hours of his performance is never forgettable. Hope that night never ended, it is similar to have your headset on and playing your favourite tracks. But the difference is the artist came all along to entertain you.
